Illinois Cost-of-Living Refund Coalition

We are a coalition of unions, community organizations, and consumer protection groups that have joined together to advocate for the expansion of our state's Earned Income Credit. Convened by Economic Security for Illinois, we will be organizing and advocating for this policy which so many working families in Illinois need right now.

ITEP is a non-profit, non-partisan tax policy organization. We conduct rigorous analyses of tax and economic proposals and provide data-driven recommendations on how to shape equitable and sustainable tax systems.

Shriver Center on Poverty Law

From litigating and shaping policies in Illinois, to training and convening multi-state networks of public interest attorneys, the Shriver Center on Poverty Law works with and for the communities we serve to make equal justice and economic opportunity a reality. 

United Way of Metro Chicago

United Way of Metro Chicago brings together businesses, government, nonprofits, and community leaders to deliver funding, resources, and expertise to nonprofit organizations across greater Chicago.


Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR)

ICIRR is dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society.

Community Organizing and Family Issues (COFI) & POWER-PAC IL

COFI's mission is to strengthen the power and voice of low-income and working families at all levels of civic life—from local institutions and communities to local, state, and federal policy arenas. POWER-PAC IL is a cross-cultural, statewide membership organization of COFI-trained parents whose mission is to build the voice and power of low-income, immigrant and working families by uniting parents across race and community around issues of importance to children and families.

Family Independence initiative (FII)

FII provides an environment and technology platform for families to build their own community. We learn about the actions and activities families are taking to improve their lives and design direct capital investments matching their initiatives.


Chicago Votes

Chicago Votes is a non-partisan, non-profit organization building a more inclusive democracy by putting power in the hands of young Chicagoans. We’re engaging and developing a new generation of leaders by opening the doors of government and politics to young people from all corners of the city. 


Chicago Jobs Council

Chicago Jobs Council moves people out of poverty through employment using on-the-ground expertise, advocacy, and capacity-building.

Caring Across Generations

Caring Across Generations advocates for policies that support both seniors and people with disabilities who need care, and the families and professional caregivers who care for them. 

SEIU Local 1

SEIU Local 1 members are working in 11 cities in seven states, and our jobs are some of the highest paying in our industries. SEIU Local 1 security officers, food service workers and janitors are working with community leaders to advocate for the quality services the public deserves and the good jobs our communities need.
